The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued  
the following statement:


Condemn Murderous Attack on CPI(M) Bihar MLA Ajay Kumar

The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) condemns the murderous attack on Ajay  
Kumar, leader of the CPI(M) legislature party and Member of its Bihar  
Secretariat, at Samastipur. This is the second such attack on him in  
the past few weeks.

The Polit Bureau demands that the culprits must be apprehended  
immediately and punitive action taken against them. The state  
government must provide MLA Ajay Kumar adequate security. It should  
also institute an enquiry on why such incidents are repeating.
