[Marxistindia] Invitation to join dharna to protest against dilusion of MGNREGA

Dear Friend, 

 

This is to invite you to join a day long dharna on November 26, which is
being organized by the CPI(M) to protest against the dilution of MGNREGA. 

 

The dharna will be led by Com. Manik Sarkar, Chief Minister of Tripura, a
State which is the best performing State on MGNREGA in the country and which
has been particularly badly affected by the arbitrary cuts in allocations by
the Central Government. 

 

The number of workdays has already come down due to lack of funds, directly
affecting the livelihood and family incomes of thousands of job card
holders, the Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes and other sections of the
rural poor who have been the beneficiaries.

 

Please do participate in solidarity with the crores of MGNREGA workers all
over India whose rights are sought to be diluted and destroyed.

 

The dharna will be held at Jantar Mantar from 11 a.m.
